December Daily, my first page.

I actually started my December daily, yay! Well sort of  since December first until now I've been taking pictures but I've only done one page as of today. Oh well.
I've been contemplating on how to make up my book. I've been watching a lot of Youtube, checking out Instagram, and scrolling through Pinterest. I know wanted to do a junk journal book, but the book I wanted to altered wasn't what I wanted. So I opted to make a jump-ring book with chipboard I had in my stash. I wanted  the pages a bit bigger than I usually would make, I measured my book seven-inch by nine inches. I thought it would be big enough to hold a four by six picture(s). I had extra jump rings from a previous project so I end up using them. I'm trying to use my christmas stash I had from the past. I have so much embellishments and papers to last me for several years.
I did buy some new items for this year but not a whole lot, new washi tapes, new embellishments, and couple of papers. I need to stop buying stuff I already have but it's hard to resist.
I think I overwhelmed myself all the ideas I had to make my December daily, and I did. It took me a bit to figure out just the first page, and I'm sorry but not sorry how I wanted the first page to look. Now I get it when other ladies were preparing for their December daily book, because it takes so long to design a book. But I'm determined to finish this book, and completely finished this book. I'm glad I wrote down what pictures I took everyday up until today. Because if I didn't I would be more confuse and forget what is what.
I'm already stumped on what to take pictures now, I did wrote down ideas before but I don't want to repeat what I've already done. I still take pictures no matter what, maybe more then what I usually would do in a day.
I need the time now to work on my book, just sucks I have the weekend to work on it but I have so much to do besides working on my book. We have like twelve more days until Christmas, and I haven't finished my shopping, other paper crafts, wrapping my presents and so many others. Bahhh! I'm trying not to stress out on the little things, but there is days I wish there are four of me. Enough of me complaining about my woes.
Anyway, I wanted to show off my first page of my December daily. I'm acutally happy I made it and I'm determined to finish this book. DETERMINED.
Now, I cannot wait!! until this weekend. Because I really want to work on the next pages. I cannot wait how this book will turn out inside and out. Wish me luck.
Well I hope you all enjoy your weekend since we're starting a new work week. Yay! I don't work tonight, I'm gonna enjoy my night off by watching an old episode of Frasier and maybe a cuppa hot chocolate. Yummm sound good!
Anyways, have a good night or morning. Until next week I hope to show couple more of my pages in my next post. Next time, see ya.

This is my front cover, I usually wait until the pages are done and then work the front oover

I used Core;dinations premium carstock from Joann's, I really didn't like the feel of it I thought I use it as my base and cover it with my christmas papers.

Ta-Dahhh!!! my first page. I don't know why  it always takes me forever to make a page. But it's stress-relieving to make something I like to do. My first page, is my front door with a fresh wreath and a new door mat Sorry can't really see the new door mat I should move the journaling card. The little notecard with the house is my journaling card with the writing  on the back.

It's December

It's December already!!! Wow. Just last week it was thanksgiving. Time flies and feel like I will never catch up with anything. That's okay, this past year has been kind a of an eye opener and I think 2016 has been an awkward year for me.
Well, this past weekend has been a busy one. I'm back to my regular work schedule no time off until Christmas, yay! but our company had our christmas party at a restaurant called Carrabba's, it's a italian inspired restaurant. I love coming here I think it's much better than Olive Garden. I like more of their selection, such as my chicken parmesan yum! with the side of asparagus and mashed potatoes. I know it doesn't sounds italian but I like how they cooked their dishes, I also had a "John Cole," with a pear sangria cocktail. The John Cole ice cream, is vanilla ice cream  with candied pecans and drizzled caramel. Was so good, The cocktail well, I didn't care it was two o'clock in the afternoon. Damn it! I'm having a drink because I deserve a nice meal with cocktail and it's the end of a work  week. (it's a good drink but I forgot what the ingredients were, oops my bad.)
So that was friday, and yesterday I went to the Festival of Trees in Sandy, at my favorite expo. With my friend from whom we known each other for about a decade. Maritta, my friend invited me to go.
The Festival of Trees, people donate decorative trees, wreaths, quilts, gingerbread homes to benefit the Primary Children's Hospital. Here is the link if you wanna know more www.festivaloftreesutah.org Alot of families go there and check out the many decorated trees and gingerbread homes, and other donated items. They also have live entertainment as well.
Oh my gosh! I was pretty oblivious of how many were there, when we arrived ten minutes the parking lot was nearly full. The line to get in the expo was quite long, and there was a second line for the tickets. Too many people at ten o'clock in the morning for me, and I didn't have a decent breakfast to endure that many people and kids and more kids.
Why I wanted to go, well Maritta invited me and I haven't been for many years. I think waiting for another several more years is good enough for me. I did have a good time, I don't really spend that much time with Maritta, because we're so busy with our jobs and lives we hardly see each other it's good we get to spend time when we do like yesterday, lol.
We stayed over two hours at the expo, I was done. They also sold scones and other sweet treats and also had little shop. The shop carried a lot of homemade items to sell like blankets, wash cloths, paper goods just to name a few, a lot people donate their time and effort to benefit for the cause. Afterwards, it was time to go. It was getting too crowded for me and walking around made me tired and hungry. Of course, after we went christmas shopping and also had a late lunch in Sandy. I had a good time it was tiring but fun.
What else been going on, or any projects up my sleeve? Well, I'm doing the December Daily. what is December Daily? All I know that Ali Edwards (scrapbooker/designer) came up with the idea to document the days of December up until twenty fifth or until the end of the month. Just record everyday and takes pictures of the month December. I know if ya type up "December Daily," there is probably tons of ideas and kits to start december daily. I know pinterest, the web, and of course youtube will have all the ideas to check it out.
I've been watching a lot of youtube lately about December Daily. Man! some of these ladies are set and prepared for the month of December. The have tutorials how to prep, set up, kits to make, and a lot of ideas for this concept. I was overwhelmed with the thought of setting up and getting ready for this December Daily. I haven't set up my book or I should say I haven't even  made my book or even developed the pictures and it's only the fourth day. I'm trying not stress about being organized over this because if I do I know it won't get done.
I'm been thinking about the prompts I can use day by day, there so many ideas out there, I'm picking the ones that will benefit me and I know I will use. I have a board on pinterest with all my ideas I wanna use for December Daily, I just need to head over before its gets too late to write down my prompts for the month.  Of course, I will have pictures of my book soon, I set aside my other projects so I can do this December Daily.
Sorry, it's a long post I know I didn't post last week. I've been thinking a lot about other situations just lost track. I hope you all had great weekend and I hope this coming week will be a better one.
 See ya!
